Love Data Week at Seton Hall University Libraries
Wednesday, February 5th, 2020
Events will showcase data services and data subscriptions available to the SHU community ranging from Tableau Public, ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research), the R programming language and data management. Additionally, programs such as avoiding predatory journals and managing your online presence are scheduled. All of these tools will help increase data literacy of SHU students faculty and staff. The eRepository, Seton Hall's Institutional Repository, houses e-journals, syllabi repository, faculty profiles and theses and dissertations.
Sebastian Derry, Assistant Dean for Public Services, states "We are looking forward to this 3rd Annual Love Data Week, sponsored by the University Libraries Data Management Committee. This is an opportunity for the library and the SHU community to come together and engage in conversations around data management, data sharing and library-based research support."
"The IHS Library is proud to be involved in Love Data Week. Our intent is to encourage conversations about data management, discovery, and curation, and to showcase the ways that our library can support student and faculty research through our services and subscriptions," say Chris Duffy, Associate Dean & Library Director.
All events are free to attend, so take part in as many as you'd like—but registration is required.
