Appointment of Kathleen McCarthy as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management

Dear Seton Hall Community,

I am writing with an update on the search for our next Vice President for Enrollment Management.

As I announced last fall, Alyssa McCloud, M.A. ’04/Ph.D. ’09, will transition from her role as Executive Vice President for Enrollment Management this September.

Today, I am happy to tell you that Kathleen (Katie) McCarthy, M.B.A. ’17, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management Operations, will join my Cabinet as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management on October 1.

Katie brings a wealth of higher education experience to the role, including deep knowledge of national and regional enrollment trends. She oversees daily operational functions for Enrollment Management and has collaborated closely with Dr. McCloud on predictive modeling and strategic planning.

Katie joined Seton Hall in 2013 as an Assistant Director of Admissions. She progressed to Associate Director of Admissions Operations in 2016 and then became Director of Admission Operations in 2017.

She was appointed to her current post in 2021.

When she begins her new role in October, she will continue working with Dr. McCloud, who will serve Seton Hall as Senior Enrollment Strategist. Dr. McCloud will provide oversight for major strategic initiatives related to undergraduate recruitment and enrollment, as well as continued management of the incoming undergraduate discount rate and financial aid.
