Jersey Diving Academy Expands Diving Lessons to Seton Hall

Athlete diving into an olympic poolJersey Diving Academy is expanding to Seton Hall University, bringing additional opportunities for young athletes in Northern New Jersey to learn and develop their diving skills.

The new program will offer sessions Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m., which began in October. Open to divers of all experience levels, the program welcomes children who are new to the sport as well as those looking to build on their existing skills.

The expansion gives young athletes an opportunity to develop confidence, strength, flexibility and body control while learning new techniques in a supportive team environment. Through instruction and practice, participants can build their skills, explore competitive diving and discover a new sport.

Coach Benjamin Mitchell, the academy’s Northern New Jersey program director and Seton Hall's Swim Team's diving coach, will lead the program. Known for his positive coaching style and emphasis on building confidence, he brings years of experience working with divers of different ages and abilities.

“Diving is about more than learning new skills. It’s about building confidence, developing discipline and discovering what you’re capable of accomplishing,” said Mitchell. “We’re excited to bring JDA to Seton Hall and give more young athletes the opportunity to try the sport, grow as divers and have fun along the way.”

The addition of Seton Hall as a pool location expands Jersey Diving Academy’s reach in Northern New Jersey while giving local families another opportunity to introduce their children to diving.
