Seton Hall University is proud to announce that alumnus James Keim, M.B.A. '00/J.D. '01, has committed more than $180,000 in support of For All, Forever, the University's $225 million campaign. Building on nearly 20 years of philanthropic engagement, his latest gifts established the Keim Family Applied Learning Endowed Fund and supported renovations to the Stillman School of Business Trading Room, expanding its capacity and fostering greater collaboration among students.

Experiential learning is a major fundraising priority under For All, Forever, and James' latest gift reflects both his support for the campaign and his belief in providing students with opportunities to apply classroom learning in real-world settings.

"One of the many things that differentiates Seton Hall from other institutions is its commitment to hands-on experiences that get students out of the classroom and into real-world contexts," said James. "We're excited to support these unique and necessary learning opportunities to differentiate Seton Hall students."

James earned his M.B.A. from the Stillman School of Business in 2000 and his J.D. from the School of Law in 2001. He went on to build a 25-year career with Ernst & Young (EY), where he led the Americas Transaction Tax practice and the East Region International Tax and Transactions practice. Currently, he coordinates EY's global tax services for several clients.

Looking back on his time at Seton Hall, James credits the University's student-centered approach with helping shape his professional success.

"The small classroom settings gives a student the ability to connect with their peers and with the faculty," he said. "Seton Hall provides a level of personalized attention in its learning environment that isn't available at many other institutions and prepares you for a future career."

James and his wife, Leigh Onimus '99/M.B.A. '02/J.D. '03, a three-time Seton Hall alumna and Assistant Provost at the University, established the Keim Family Applied Learning Endowed Fund in 2025. The fund supports Stillman students pursuing experiential learning opportunities, including study abroad programs, conference attendance, external competitions, faculty-mentored research and internships.

"Leigh and I are thrilled to establish this fund," said James. "We haven't lost sight of the fact that, without the Seton Hall experience, we likely wouldn't be where we are today. We're grateful for the opportunity to help create similar experiences for today's students and for future generations."

Beyond his financial investments in the University, James has dedicated his time and talent to advancing Seton Hall's mission. He has served as a volunteer for the For All, Forever campaign, taught as an adjunct professor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contributed his leadership to numerous Stillman committees, including as chair of the Dean's Advisory Council.

"James has been a wonderful partner to Seton Hall. In the spirit of our Catholic mission, alumni like him are the backbone of our University and make it possible for us to advance a bold vision for the future, one in which students can discover and develop their God-given talents," said Monsignor Joseph Reilly, president of Seton Hall.

Speaking on alumni engagement, James is optimistic about the future of the University. "Seton Hall has done an outstanding job reconnecting with alumni over the last several years and recognizing the value they can deliver. Aside from financial support, alumni can offer their time and expertise to connect with students and strengthen the University community," he said.

"James and Leigh have had a tremendous impact on Seton Hall and For All, Forever," said Jon Paparsenos '99, Vice President for University Advancement. "This campaign represents a historic moment for the University, and alumni support is essential to its success. We are fortunate to have James and Leigh as examples of the many ways our graduates can give back through their philanthropy, leadership and service."
