“Become the kind of leader that people would follow voluntarily, even if you had no title or position.” -Brian Tracy
After earning her diploma in the challenging International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme,
Julia was competitively selected into the Business Leadership Program in the Stillman
School of Business. Growing up in Annapolis, Maryland, she decided to go to school
closer to New York City, where she wants to spend the next chapter of her life. Accepted
into both the University Honors Program and the Buccino Business Leadership Program,
Julia decided on Seton Hall for the close community, draw of servant leadership opportunities,
and with a job placement rate of 100% for the Leadership Program, the decision to
accept the offer to Seton Hall was clear. "One of the things I value the most is the
feeling of family; I really feel at home when getting involved on campus and that
has helped me continue to grow not only as a leader but as a person."
Julia values connection, creativity, and levelheadedness over anything else. She hopes
to take advantage of every opportunity the program gives her and wants to try everything.
Growing up with two younger brothers, she learned to balance many responsibilities
at once. With a concentration in marketing, Julia decided on a versatile degree that
can apply to many subjects she is interested in. She wants to continue serving others
and making real changes in the world, outside of an office building.
Over the course of her time on campus, Julia has been extremely involved. She has
taken the position of Vice President of Membership of Seton Hall's chapter of Girls
Who Code, as well as Co-President of the Women's Leadership Program, member of the
Alumni Initiative, and member of the Interview Initiative, the student-led initiative
that admits the future members of the Business Leadership Program. Julia currently
holds the position of one of two Undergraduate Assistants in the Market Research Center,
operated out of Jubilee Hall.
