The Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University is now accepting applications for the 2026–27 Monsignor Edward Ciuba Fellowship.

Established to honor Monsignor Edward Ciuba’s legacy of pastoral leadership and intellectual service, the fellowship supports projects that bring Seton Hall faculty and graduate students into meaningful collaboration with Catholic parishes, schools, ministries and organizations.

Awarded annually, the Ciuba Fellowship advances initiatives that integrate scholarly rigor with pastoral engagement, placing academic expertise at the service of the Church and the broader community. The fellowship carries a $5,000 stipend, distributed in two installments over the course of the project.

“The Ciuba Fellowship reflects our commitment to ensuring that academic work remains deeply connected to the life of the Church,” said Patrick Manning, Ph.D., director of the Center for Catholic Studies. “It is a concrete expression of Seton Hall’s mission to unite faith and reason in service to others.”

Applications for the 2026–27 academic year are due by March 31, 2026.
