Seton Hall University welcomed more than 40 professionals from 17 organizations and more than 80 students and alumni to Bethany Hall for the Roundtables in Accounting and Analytics event. Co-hosted by the Seton Hall Accounting Club and the Career Center, the evening gave students a chance to speed network with industry professionals and alumni across a range of fields.

Students discussed internship programs, mentorship opportunities and leadership roles, and heard real advice about applications, company culture and career paths. The event also highlighted the strength of the Seton Hall alumni network, with many former students returning to give back.

Carey Werheim, one of the students who attended, said, "You never know who you'll meet or what advice you’ll get. Events like these are such a great opportunity to make real connections."

For Juan Garcia Nieves, it sparked a major moment of clarity: "I wasn’t planning to bring up my interest in law school, but the conversation just flowed naturally. The recruiter was so supportive, and it made me even more excited about my future."

Theresa Henry, accounting club advisor, shared, "There was so much energy in the room. Our industry partners and students all walked away from the event feeling it was time well spent."

Student leaders Lauren Gelber, Christopher Guarrera and Khalil Crumes helped lead outreach and made sure students were ready to make the most of their conversations.

The feeling was mutual on the professional side too. Jonette Senko, from CohnReznick, shared, "We love coming to Seton Hall University to meet the talented accounting students. It's always a great experience."

Students who want to continue the conversation are encouraged to connect with professionals like Jonette Senko of CohnReznick.
