Bonnie Evans, M.H.A. ’02 Selected as Next Alumni Board of Directors President - Seton Hall University

As president of the Alumni Board of Directors, Evans will serve a two-year term where she will oversee the Board of approximately 30 members and make key decisions that will advise the efforts of the Department of Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy. She will also serve on the University’s Board of Regents, where she will represent the Alumni Board, and Seton Hall's network of over 100,000+ living alumni worldwide.
As CEO of Kessler Institute's West Orange campus, Evans was responsible for the day-to-day management of the 152-bed hospital with oversight of all administrative operations, including the delivery of safe, quality patient care, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, facility management, financial performance and overall governance.
Prior to her appointment as CEO of Kessler Institute, Evans held positions of increasing clinical and administrative responsibilities, becoming the Director of Physical Therapy in 1982, Vice President of Administration in 1986 and Senior Vice President in 2001. She had served as CEO since 2009. Evans has held positions on various nonprofit boards, including Friends' Health Connection, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey and the Executive Women of New Jersey. She is currently on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Sharing Network and is a member of Seton Hall University's Leadership Advisory Board. Evans's contributions to the field have been honored by the Executive Women of New Jersey, the Community Health Law Project, Friends' Health Connection and Select Medical. NJBIZ named her one of the "Top 50 Women in Business" in 2009. In 2013, Kessler Foundation presented her with its Community Leadership Award. It was also with great honor that Seton Hall University recognized Evans as the 2017 Most Distinguished Alumna during its annual Many Are One Alumni Gala – the highest honor for a Seton Hall alumnus/a to achieve at the University.

The Alumni Board of Directors is committed to supporting the Department of Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy’s mission
of engaging more alumni with Seton Hall in increasingly meaningful ways. An all-volunteer
body of approximately 30 members, the board represents all schools and colleges and
graduation decades; it continues to aim higher and achieve more each year. Its members
are inspirational examples of the types of alumni whose involvement continues to move
Seton Hall forward.
