Seton Hall University to Celebrate Blessing and Opening of New Innovation Hub

3D printsSeton Hall University will mark an exciting new chapter in its commitment to academic excellence and technological advancement with the official blessing and grand opening of the new Innovation Hub, located within the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center (TLTC) on the ground floor of Walsh Library.

The University community, including students, alumni donors, faculty, staff and invited guests, is invited to join University President Monsignor Joseph R. Reilly, S.T.L., Ph.D. and other University members for the celebration on Monday, March 23.

Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with an Innovation Hub Showcase highlighting the space’s cutting-edge resources and collaborative capabilities. At 11 a.m., Monsignor Reilly will lead the formal Blessing Ceremony, reflecting Seton Hall’s Catholic tradition and dedication to fostering innovation in service to the common good.

Following the ceremony, guests are encouraged to remain for light refreshments, guided facility tours and an afternoon Hub Showcase. Click here to register for the Blessing Ceremony, which is not required, but encouraged.

podcast room“The Innovation Hub embodies our vision for collaborative, cross-disciplinary engagement,” said Chief Information Officer Paul Fisher. “This space brings together technology, creativity and community to support dynamic teaching and learning experiences and we can’t wait to see how students and faculty will put it to use.”

Designed as a dynamic, technology-rich environment, the Hub features collaborative workspaces and creative areas that empower students and faculty to explore new ideas, develop interdisciplinary projects and engage emerging technologies in meaningful ways. 

Features include a suite of thoughtfully designed studios and collaborative environments tailored to innovation and hands-on learning. Among them are: 

  • A Maker Studio for designing, prototyping and exploring innovative ideas,
  • An Exploration Studio equipped with extended reality, mixed reality, and AI-powered technology, 
  • Content Creation Studios which boast a podcast studio, one-button studio, light board studio and full-featured recording production studio,
  • A Solutions Studio that serves as a convenient walk-up support desk for students and faculty, 
  • An Open Lounge and Collaboration Space where the community can gather, study and collaborate.

TechThe walk-up Solution Studio support desk will remain open during the event. Guests are asked to check in at the front desk upon arrival, where the support team will be available to assist.

Together, these spaces create a dynamic environment where students and faculty can experiment, partner and transform ideas into impact. The Innovation Hub reflects Seton Hall’s continued focus on creating spaces that inspire creativity, strengthen community and support academic success. 

All members of the University community are encouraged to attend the Blessing Ceremony on March 23 and experience firsthand the collaborative and creative spaces now available at the heart of campus.
