Upward Bound Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

Incoming freshman currently enrolled in a New Jersey Upward Bound program and are enrolled full-time for each semester of attendance at Seton Hall. Based on academic achievement. Must be Pell Grant eligible. 

Application Procedures

This is a competitive scholarship awarded to New Jersey residents who are current participants of the New Jersey Upward Bound program. Students must have a strong academic record in high school and must be Pell Grant eligible in order to be considered for the award. The award is $3,000 annually and renewable if the student maintains satisfactory academic progress. The award can be combined with other awards and can be applied to tuition and fees but not room and board or books. Students must submit an application by the scholarship deadline date along with a letter of recommendation from an Upward Bound staff member, preferably the director.
