Eligibility Requirements
Incoming freshman from New Jersey who are current recipients of a H.S. Scholarship from the Tri-County Scholarship fund. Student must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative unweighted HS GPA, must file the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need with a preference for Pell-eligible students.
Application Procedures
This is a competitive scholarship awarded to select New Jersey high school students who are current recipients of a H.S. Scholarship from the Tri-County Scholarship fund. Students must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative unweighted HS GPA, must file the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need with a preference for Pell-eligible students. The award is $3,000 annually and renewable if the student maintains satisfactory academic progress. The award can be combined with other awards and can be applied to tuition and fees but not room and board or books. Students must submit an application for admission by the scholarship deadline date, along with the scholarship application and a letter of recommendation from the Tri-County Scholarship fund verifying that the student is a scholarship recipient in good standing. Additionally, Tri-County Scholarship fund students choosing to major in the College of Human Development, Culture and Media (CHDCM) are eligible for an additional scholarship, and will be contacted directly after completing the application form.
