Steven Miller is an adjunct instructor of museum professions with nearly 50 years of experience in the museum industry. Some of the institutions in which Miller has held leadership positions include the Bennington Museum, the Morris Museum, and the Boscobel House and Gardens, where he is currently the executive director. He is also the author of "The Anatomy of a Museum: An Insider's Guide" (2017), a textbook he based on the course he teaches at Seton Hall that he hopes will be used a comprehensive guide by students and professionals alike.
When he is not teaching or working, Miller enjoys painting, traveling, and playing in a jug band with friends from high school. He is also hard at work on two additional books about the museum industry -- one on deaccessioning and the other on the role of a curator.
