My teaching goal and pedagogy is to educate students incorporating both the theoretical and practical aspects of Criminal Justice. I am also a strong advocate of experimental educational learning through internships. My areas of expertise are in probation, parole, corrections, and juvenile delinquency.

It is important to be current in the Criminal Justice discipline. There are changes and new policies and procedures being incorporated on a regular basis. One of the means of keeping students informed on their matters is by inviting active practitioners from the discipline as guest lecturers. I incorporate this methodology in all of my classes.
