Luzhou Xing, Ph.D
Assistant Professor
Department of Biological Sciences
Dr. Xing pursued his scientific research in the medical center at Columbia University
from 1998 to 2008 prior to joining Seton Hall University. He worked as a postdoctoral
research fellow in the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Germany after
he received his Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology from Beijing Normal University in 1995.
His research interests include: (1) Using cell culture systems and genetically-engineered
mouse models to study the signal transduction in cells of the immune system and tumorigenesis;
and (2) Genetic and epigenetic analysis of a minimal homozygous deletion region on
chromosome 21 in human carcinomas. He currently teaches Immunology and Introduction
to Microbiology.
