Underneath it all, I'm interested in how people learn how to write.  Currently I'm researching knowledge transfer in writing.  Other interests include directed self-placement, computer-based assessment of essays, self-efficacy and other self-beliefs in relation to writing achievement, and integrating assessment across the campus.
