Adriana B. Dunn, Ph.D., received her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver in 1993 and was a recipient of the APA Minority Fellowship. She completed an internship at Children’s Hospital/Judge Baker’s Children Center in Boston. She completed a one year post-doctoral fellowship in Child and Adolescent In-Patient Treatment at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Dunn has practiced in the field of pediatric mental health services and in Couples and Family Therapy for over 25 years. She has also worked in geropsychology since 1998. Dr. Dunn is a licensed psychologist and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in N.J. and has Approved Supervisor credentialing from the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Dunn was Associate Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Seton Hall University teaching from 1994-2003, and visiting professor and supervisor at Hong Kong Univ! ersity Family Institute from 2008-2009. Dr. Dunn also served as a Mentor for the AAMFT Minority Fellowship Program in 2013-2014. Dr. Dunn has published and presented on supervision training, spirituality in therapy, and conflict in Latino couples, and coping with anxiety in the family context. Emerging research interests focus in the impact of electronic media on family relationships and development across the lifespan, self-reliance during launching of adolescents and maintenance of cognitive function in later life.
Dr. Dunn is engaged in private practice focused on assessment of learning and cognitive functions spanning early childhood through geriatric populations. She also provides supervision/case consultation for therapists in independent practice.
