Pre-Law Professions

Explore Legal Professions

Law school doesn’t start with an application - it starts with a plan.

Law offers students a path towards a meaningful and rewarding career. The legal profession is incredibly diverse, with a wide range of practice areas. As a lawyer, an individual has the power to shape policies, resolve disputes, and uphold the legal and ethical standards of society.

Mentors and menteesAt Seton Hall University, the Pre-Professional Advising Center (P-PAC) is dedicated to supporting students who plan to enter the legal profession. Whether a student is just beginning to explore law as a career or is ready to apply to law school, P-PAC is here to guide students every step of the way.

We provide personalized advising and resources to all Seton Hall University undergraduate students and alumni of any major and academic year interested in pursuing a career in law. Our goal is to help students navigate their pre-law journey, build a strong and competitive law school portfolio, and develop into holistic, well-prepared law school candidates.

Through our Explore ~ Prepare ~ Apply model, P-PAC helps students:
  • Explore the legal profession and areas of practice

  • Prepare through meaningful academic, extracurricular, and professional experiences

  • Apply to law school with confidence, clarity, and a competitive application

From first year through graduation, P-PAC ensures that students are equipped with the knowledge, experiences, and support necessary for success.

Your journey to law school starts here. Let’s build your plan!
