Education Leadership Center

The Education Leadership Center in the Buccino Leadership Institute will focus selected students on developing skills and experiences needed to be a Collaborative Leader in schools and communities. Selected students will be orientated to real life problems, while developing sound values, a research orientation to practice, effective management skills and the ability to build a sustainable, diverse learning community all centered on the leadership pillar of Collaboration.

In order to be a truly effective collaborative leader in professional environments, undergraduate education majors must be exposed and taught how to develop qualities of leadership centered on the four pillars of team work, strong relational skills, empowerment, empathy and respect. The leadership initiative in the College of Education and Human Services will provide leadership candidates with skill based learning that is orientated to real life problems. Members will develop and share sound values, learn how manage effectively, while building and sustaining a collaborative learning community.
