Seton Hall Esports Hires New Rocket League Coach  

Rocket League CoachSeton Hall University is proud to announce that Blake “Ulti” Griesbauer, has been selected as the Seton Hall Rocket League Coach, effective September 26th, 2022. The onboarding of a dedicated coach is among the first in BIG EAST history and reaffirms Seton Hall’s commitment to engaging students and remaining one of the most competitive programs in the nation.

An accomplished coach, Mr. Griesbauer has been an influential figure in both the professional and collegiate Rocket League scene. Most recently, coming to Seton Hall from the University of Missouri where he has been a coach for the Mizzou Rocket League team since October 2020. Having overseen several rosters of players, Blake applied his experience since 2016. That year, Griesbauer created a Discord server to Rocket League players of all skill levels, he offered his coaching experience free of charge and the server quickly grew to 200 members.

Shortly after bringing on Griesbauer, Mizzou’s Rocket League found more success. The Tigers finished 11-4 in League Play, finishing First in the Western conference of Collegiate Rocket League. He is looking forward to continuing that tradition of success with the Pirates Rocket League squad. When asked about how he feels about this opportunity, Blake said: "I'm excited to work with the players and make them the best versions of themselves. We're going to make our mark in the CRL scene.”

Big East TrophyFor Seton Hall Esports Manager, Victor Gomez, the opportunity to expand the program with its inaugural contracted Esports Coach counts as a milestone. “I am incredibly excited to bring on Ulti [Blake Griesbauer] and add his wealth of knowledge and experience at the various levels of the scene. Building off of the Big East championship last semester and EGFC National title, we wanted to ensure our players were able to get the support they needed and feel like Ulti will be able to bring out the best in this roster.”
