Mark Baldwin Biography

Mark Baldwin HeadshotMark Baldwin is a dedicated advocate for faith-based recovery and a proud graduate of the iTHIRST Spiritual Companionship Certification Training program. As a founding member of St. Mary’s Addiction and Recovery Ministry (ARM) in Dover, NJ, he has helped build a compassionate, parish-centered outreach that supports individuals and families affected by addiction through prayer, fellowship and spiritual accompaniment.

Mark is a person in long-term recovery, drawing on his lived experience to minister with empathy, authenticity and hope. He is also a survivor of addiction-related tragedy, having lost his son Connor in 2022. His journey informs his commitment to reducing the stigma of addiction and helping others encounter God’s healing presence.

He holds an M.B.A. from Felician University, bringing strengths in leadership, program development, and community engagement to his ministry work. Mark teaches within the iTHIRST Ministry Program at Seton Hall to help prepare others to serve those struggling with substance use disorder, combining pastoral sensitivity with practical guidance for integrating recovery ministry into parish life.
