Reflections from the Holy Land
For the fifth consecutive year, Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology was pleased to sponsor a series of daily reflections during Lent 2023, titled Reflections from the Holy Land.
Richly blessed, many members of the Immaculate Conception Seminary community had the opportunity to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land from December 29, 2022 to January 9, 2023. Throughout the 2023 Lenten season, seminarians and priests, as well as Seminary lay administrators, faculty and staff, offered written reflections, delivered via email, from Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023, through Good Friday, April 7, 2023.
These meditations, which focused on the Holy Land and the events of salvation history that took place there, were accompanied by photographs taken by seminarians and priests of the ICSST community on their recent pilgrimage. Participants in the reflection series were invited – day by day – to allow the saving Mysteries into their hearts, in preparation for celebrating the Paschal feast.
We invite you to join us in following in our Lord and Savior’s footsteps through the Holy Land by navigating the images and their corresponding reflections below.
