The Pastoral Coaching initiative intends for ICSST to work in close collaboration, initially focused on the Archdiocese of Newark in the development of a pastoral coaching program. This program is for newly ordained priests to provide continued support focused on human formation that begins in the last year of a seminarian's formation and continues for four years. 

Intended benefits of this program include:

• Providing balanced continuing formation focused on human/emotional, parish leadership and personal development.
• Improve retention and morale of newly ordained with a professional structured support program that provides continued development.
• Improve pastor “readiness” of the newly ordained through focus on leadership, business and teamwork/collaboration skills.

This program is currently under development.
