Snap-on Tools Executive to Open Series on Global Supply Chain Risks

On October 31, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Walsh Library Beck Rooms, the series will launch with Patrick F. Healy, M.M.M., director of worldwide strategic sourcing at Snap-on Tools. With over three decades in supply chain management and an impressive academic background from institutions like Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Northwestern University, Healy will address intricate supply chain challenges. Attendees can expect insights into geo-political uncertainties, currency fluctuations, environmental dilemmas, and labor issues. Healy will also highlight Snap-on's Dual Region/Dual Sourcing strategies as part of their pioneering risk-mitigation approach. The session promises an interactive Q&A segment, with Snap-on Tools giveaways and Halloween candy.

The lecture series continues on November 28, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Jubilee Hall auditorium, featuring Jay Liebowitz, D.Sc., former executive-in-residence for public service at Columbia University and former visiting professor for the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences here at Seton Hall. Recognized among the world's top 2% of scientists, Liebowitz brings a wealth of knowledge from his roles at institutions including Columbia, Seton Hall, and NASA. His lecture will be centered around his recent book, Pivoting Government Through Digital Transformation. Attendees will learn about strategies to harness data analytics and cultivate digital talent in the U.S. federal government. Liebowitz will delve into addressing talent gaps in light of challenges like the Great Resignation and an aging workforce, offering solutions not only pertinent to the U.S. but to governments worldwide.
