NJSBDC Satellite Office Reopens at Seton Hall University to Serve Local Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses

In collaboration with the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC) at Rutgers–Newark/Rutgers Business School, Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business has reestablished the NJSBDC satellite office located in the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Room 528 on the fifth floor of Jubilee Hall at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.

The satellite office will be open Fridays beginning at 10 a.m. and will provide no-cost one-on-one counseling, mentoring and business advisory consulting to start-up entrepreneurs and established small businesses in communities across western Essex County. Services are also open to Seton Hall students, faculty, administrators and other members of the Seton Hall community who wish to start or expand a business.

The office connects participants with a wide range of resources available through the NJSBDC network. In addition to individual business counseling, NJSBDC offers virtual educational programs, workshops, webinars and other resources designed to help entrepreneurs and business owners develop the knowledge and skills needed to build and sustain successful businesses.

The NJSBDC satellite office is co-located with other Stillman School of Business programs offered by the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the newly founded Impact NJ boot camp training and mentoring community program.

“Given the diversity of resources means that small businesses and entrepreneurs have access and are being exposed, not to just what SBDC can offer, but to other resource that Seton Hall University has to offer. In addition, the location is very convenient with easy access to parking for those businesses who are outside of the greater Newark region.”  said Tendai D. Ndoro, Ph.D., the regional director of the NJSBDC at Rutgers-Newark, who orchestrated the re-opening of the satellite office. 

Since its reopening, the satellite office has seen strong demand from clients. Those interested in requesting a counseling session can do so through the NJSBDC scheduling website here. Clients will meet with Carmen Morris, a Lead Advisor with the NJSBDC at Rutgers–Newark.

The NJSBDC is a leading statewide organization that delivers business advisory services and training to help entrepreneurs start, manage and grow successful and sustainable small- to mid-sized businesses.
