
Pirate’s Pursuit - Market Research Case Competition
Overview
Pirate's Pursuit is a market research team case competition offered as an alternative to the team presentation portion of the Stillman School of Business Sophomore/Senior Assessment. Successful completion of Pirates Pursuit fulfills the 'team presentation' portion requirement of the Stillman Assessment. It does not fulfill all Stillman Assessment requirements.
Case competition materials will consist of instructions, overview and evaluation criteria.
Prize money will be awarded to the winning teams:
- First-place team - $600
- Second-place team - $300
- Third-place team - $100
Eligibility
All Stillman School of Business sophomores, juniors and seniors in good standing may participate. Students must register as individuals and will be randomly placed into teams of 3-5 students. To be eligible to participate in the Pirates Pursuit - Market Research Case Competition, students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
It is highly recommended that seniors complete their Stillman School of Business Assessment requirements prior to their last semester of school.

Registration / Deadline
Registration for 2026 Pirates Pursuit is not open yet.
Materials for the case competition will be emailed to all registered students by Tuesday, February, 10, 2026.
Please only register if you are willing to participate and able to present on Thursday, March 19, 2026. If you "drop out" of this competition, you will not be eligible for this competition in the future.
Presentation Date
Pirate's Pursuit Market Research Case Competition will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 between 7-10 p.m. ET. This event will be held 100% virtually via Zoom. All participants must be available to participate on this date and time. Complete event logistics are to be announced.
