Catholic Studies Consortium - 2024 Symposium

September 5-7, 2024 | Seton Hall University

Seton Hall University is excited to host the fourth annual Catholic Studies Symposium from September 5-7, 2024.

What Is the Format?

Previous symposia, held at Duquesne University, University of Loyola Chicago, and Sacred Heart University focused on conversations surrounding innovative ideas, practices, and the future of Catholic Studies. These conversations served the Consortium to enlighten representatives of various institutions.

In 2023, the symposium focused a great deal on the future of the Catholic Studies Consortium. In response to the mandate at the 2023 symposium, a working group was formulated to establish the Consortium as an official and legal entity.

This year, we are extremely blessed and excited to announce that the Consortium is entering a new phase in its development. We invite you to participate in the formal foundation of the Catholic Studies Consortium, which will take place at this year’s event.

The symposium will be divided into various sessions and topics to be covered and discussed include:

  • A history of Catholic Studies
  • The founding of the Catholic Studies Consortium
  • Curriculum Workshop
  • Collegiate Life Workshop
  • Development of Catholic Studies Resources: FAQs and Answers
  • Plus, a chance to deliver and discuss papers*

*If interested, please indicate so on the registration form below; a call for papers will be emailed to you.

Who Can Attend?

Up to three individuals per college or university are invited to attend. We ask that you communicate with colleagues at your institution prior to registering.

If more than three individuals are interested, we will do our best to accommodate individual situations, but space is very limited.
