The John M. Pocher Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Briefing Sheet
- John M. Pocher, a graduate of the Stillman School of Business (BSB, 1988), died on
September 11, 2001, when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center. Mr. Pocher's
family and friends established this scholarship to honor his memory. Eligible students
can compete for a one-time scholarship award of $5,000, which will be granted over
a period of two semesters. In the first semester the recipient will receive an award
of $2,500. Upon maintenance of the appropriate grade point average (2.5), the student
will be granted the second half of the award for the following academic semester.
- All students who are regularly admitted undergraduate students of the Stillman School
of Business are eligible to apply. Additional requirements are as follows:
- The applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
- The applicant must have accumulated, as of January 1, 2014, between 30 and 100 credits
toward his/her degree at Seton Hall University.
- The applicant must have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
- Students must complete the attached application form in order to receive consideration
for the award.
