ProgramOverview
This 30-credit program combines two tracks: Security Analysis, focusing on homeland security, intelligence, cybersecurity, terrorism, nuclear security and energy security; and Peace and Conflict Studies, applying analytical tools and technology to understand conflict dynamics and to support effective peacemaking, peacebuilding and post-conflict reconstruction.
Grounded in Seton Hall University’s mission to develop ethical global leaders, you will learn to assess security risk, interpret data and craft informed solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
Graduates are prepared to serve in government, international organizations and NGOs with the analytical capabilities and ethical grounding needed to lead.

Admissionrequirements
The School of Diplomacy offers open enrollment with priority application deadlines. Priority scholarship consideration will be given based on these deadlines as well. Applications received after the priority deadlines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.-

CurriculumOverview
Courses are split between STEM and non-STEM options. The program is accessible to students without prior STEM backgrounds. Some courses are offered online making this program more flexible.
Research Design for Policy Analysis, Conflict and Security Analysis, Data Management and Visualization are among the STEM-focused courses that cover 15 credits of the program. The non-Stem track includes 15 credits in courses such as International Security, Comparative Homeland Security and Global Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, among other options.

The School of Diplomacy and International Relations is recognized for its UN engagement, multilateral diplomacy and peace and security studies.
Yes. As part of its financial aid packages, Seton Hall offers graduate assistantships. These professional assignments draw on a variety of different skills and require 20 hours of on campus work each week. Students must be admitted to a program before they can apply for a graduate assistantship. Additional awards can be viewed here. The School also offers Research Assistantships and Graduate Fellowships based on academic merit.
