Brief History
Tutor.com was first offered to students in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and the Pre-Medical Pre-Dental Plus Program (PMPDPP) in March 2020 as an innovative response to COVID-19. "Out of concern for
our students' lack of access to robust support services, which was amplified given
the pandemic, we immediately recognized the benefits of providing access to tutoring
services 24/7. Many EOP students often balance multiple responsibilities in addition
to school, which limits their availability to access campus support services during
"normal" business hours. We saw Tutor.com as a way of accommodating our students who are often wrestling competing demands."

Additionally, Dean Whitney and his team have already seen the students utilize Tutor.com and have seen great success. "We chose to continue with Tutor.com as an additional service to our students given the positive feedback from students, the quality of service provided, and as a way of evolving from best practices to (better) next practices."

In addition to your access to Tutor.com, the support on campus remains greater than ever! The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers over 85 subjects with the assistance of their peer tutoring and supplemental instruction staff. The ARC also offers non-subject based support with their peer academic coaches. With 44 staff members total, (4 academic coaches, 20 peer tutors, 10 supplemental instruction leaders, and 10 tutors in residence), the department is dedicated to helping you achieve all your academic goals.

"With the addition of Tutor.com, we have a new way for you to get the help you need in your courses. The program adds a boost to our existing tutoring programs at Seton Hall, covering courses without dedicated support and even lending a hand after regular hours.
