2023-2024 Faculty Innovation Grants: The Adobe Creative Project

The Adobe Creative Project aims to cultivate, innovate, and increase digital literacy skills by using one or more of the Adobe Creative tools to enhance or replace a class project. The chosen project or activity should focus on one or more of the following digital literacy skills: 

  • Critical Thinking & Evaluation
  • E-Safety
  • Cultural & Social Understanding
  • Collaboration
  • Curate Information
  • Proficient Communicator
  • Creativity
  • Practical & Fundamental Skills

Awardees agree to serve on a Teaching Learning and Technology Roundtable committee and present their project at a TLTR event in the future. All full-time faculty are eligible. Working with the TLTC, faculty will create a ‘How To’ document so that other faculty may benefit from their experience. Projects must be implemented before May 15, 2024. The project stipend is $500.00.

Faculty interested in pursuing an Adobe Creative Project must submit a proposal using the Adobe Creative Project FIG Proposal Submission Form. The applications will be reviewed and recommendations for funding will be made to the TLT Center by a faculty committee. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis through January 5, 2024.

Successful proposals address the following criteria: 

  • Impact: Activity/Assignments created through the grant should have the potential to be applied beyond the initial course(s) for which they are created. Applicants should explain how they intend to make their resources available to broader constituencies.

  • Learning Outcomes & Pedagogy: Proposals should demonstrate sound and innovative pedagogical practices and illustrate clearly how the project will result in an enhanced learning experience in the classroom or online. Proposals that greatly impact and improve student learning outcomes and align to specific outcomes are favored.

  • Digital Literacy Skills: Proposals should aide students in attaining or enhancing one or more of the following digital literacy skills: Critical thinking & Evaluation; E-Safety; Cultural & Social Understanding; Collaboration; Curate Information; Proficient Communicator; Creativity; Practical & Fundamental Skills.

  • Assessment: Successful project proposals will include a draft assessment or detailed assessment plan to measure specific learning objectives and Digital Literacy skills. The assessment should be linked to the learning objectives for which the project is developed.
