Rewatch TLT Roundtable's Kick-Off Event

Ian WilhelmThe Teaching, Learning and Technology Roundtable's kick-off event, Technology’s Role in Adapting to Change while Meeting Strategic Goals of the University, featured Ian Wilhelm from the Chronicle of Higher Education. Ian explored technology’s role during the pandemic and how technology can be leveraged in a post-pandemic world.

“Ian’s talk presentation certainly made it feel like we aren’t alone in both he success and the challenges that we have faced since the start of pandemic", said Paul Fisher, Associate CIO. "The issues that our colleagues face across the country are mostly the same, I think we are poised to prioritize a few of them related to technology and tackle them in this year’s TLT Roundtable.”

The kick-off event can be rewatched via YouTube. Moving forward, the TLT Roundtable Steering Committee will assemble two standing working groups; the Mobile Computing Committee and Ideas and Trends in Educational Technology. The Mobile Computing Committee will identify the needs of the mobile computing program and its implementation over the next four years.  Explore external partnerships with vendors and foundations for exploring next generation mobile computing opportunities.  The working group will focus on emerging student and faculty needs and the emerging technologies that pose opportunities for meeting them.

The Ideas and Trends in Ed Tech. Committee will track innovative uses of educational technology within Seton Hall and map it to the external higher education tech trends.  Identify existing strengths and emerging opportunities and explore internal and external partnerships and funding sources. Identify existing weaknesses and emerging threats and highlight future investments and/or policies that may be required at Seton Hall.
