In an era marked by the rapid advancement of technology, skills such as creativity, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and digital fluency are required to succeed in a dynamic and evolving workforce. One significant challenge highlighted in the research is the difficulty job seekers face in demonstrating these critical skills on their resumes, coupled with employers' struggles in identifying candidates who possess such competencies. The study suggests that digital credentials could serve as a meaningful signal of proficiency in the skills demanded by today's digital job market.

In light of these recent findings, the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center reminds the Seton Hall community of their access to the Adobe Creative Skill Series, a digital badging program strategically crafted to cultivate and spotlight in-demand skills acquired outside of the classroom. Since its launch in 2022, the Adobe Creative Skills Series has experienced substantial growth, expanding course offerings from three to twelve options. This expansion mirrors the increasing demand for diverse digital skills across disciplines and industries. Course options include:

These interactive courses are self-paced and can be completed all at once or a little at a time. Enrollees have access to free templates and personalized feedback on course activities from industry experts. Course completers receive an official badge from Adobe to share with their network via their email signature, LinkedIn profile, digital portfolio, website, and social media accounts. Additionally, each badge is digitally coded with verified and shareable information about the awarding body, receiver, criteria for issuing, issue date, expiration date, and evidence of the earned credential.

Seton Hall students, faculty and staff have free access to the full Creative Skills course library. To enroll in a course(s), users with existing Seton Hall Adobe accounts can log into the Adobe Creative Skills Series dashboard using their PirateNet login credentials. New Adobe users will first need to register for Adobe Creative Cloud access by following the steps in the self-enrollment guide.
