ROI-NJ Names President Joseph E. Nyre as State Higher Education Influencer, University Business and Law School Leaders Also Recognized  

Headshot image of President Joseph E. NyrePresident Joseph E. Nyre, Ph.D., has been named to the prestigious 2021 ROI Influencers: Higher Education list by ROI-NJ, a digital and print outlet covering the world of business and politics in New Jersey.

In making the announcement, ROI-NJ staff shared: "When the pandemic hit in the spring of 2020 and showed no signs of letting up, two things became clear when it came to higher education: Learning must continue — and the way students learned would be far different than ever before."

As academic institutions had to develop new policies, procedures and programs in a matter of days and weeks, the publication wanted to present to the community and the state the contributions of exemplary higher education leaders.

Dean Joyce StrawserROI-NJ wrote, "The 2021 ROI Influencers: Higher Education list is a way to recognize the schools, the presidents, the deans and directors, the doers and the donors that made higher education possible during the most uncertain of times."

President Nyre was one of seven academic leaders highlighted in the College Presidents: Head of the Class section. In making the selection, Seton Hall and the President received praise for innovative programs, major campus renovations being undertaken and its response to the pandemic. "The school has been incredibly forward-thinking under Nyre's leadership — including a COVID-contention plan that became a model for many."

Shortly after his arrival, Dr. Nyre was also ranked on the ROI-NJ Higher Education Influencers Power List for 2020.

Kathleen Boozang, Dean of Seton Hall LawHonored as ROI Influencers: Higher Education 2021 on the 2021 Deans and Directors List for being most impactful to the business community as three highly influential academics higher education influencers who are most impactful to the business community.

Lauded as a Business Influencer in Higher Education, Joyce Strawser, Dean, Stillman School of Business was lauded as a Business Influencer as praised for the fintech program and recently launched Center for Securities Trading and Business Analytics.

Kathleen Boozang, Dean, Seton Hall Law, was lauded as a "veteran presence to one of the state's top law schools" and for her role as the founder of the Law School's top-ranked Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law.

Bryan Price 320 picPraised for his role in training a new generation of leaders at Seton Hall was Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Bryan C. Price, a nationally-recognized expert on leadership development and terrorism, who is the founding executive director of the Buccino Leadership Institute. They understand that leadership is a privilege, that leadership without purpose is meaningless and that passion is what inspires people to see you as a leader."
