Web and Digital Communications

The Web and Digital Communications team coordinates communications and marketing projects related to the Seton Hall website, online advertising,  email marketing, social media  and other digital outreach efforts. We are responsible for developing and executing strategies for all premiere digital communications from Seton Hall University in accordance with Information Technology policies, Public Relations and Marketing guidelines and the University Mission. We partner with and provide direct services and support to:

  • All Academic Offices and special projects/initiatives
  • All schools and colleges and their respective departments, centers and institutes
  • All catholic-mission based offices and services
  • All admissions offices and Enrollment Services 
  • All Student Services offices and constituents 
  • All administrative offices and functional areas
  • All areas within University Advancement (Public Relations, Development and Alumni Relations)

The Web Team provides this support in different key ways:

Web Content Management

The Web Team manages the primary websites for all campus units (except for Athletics and Law) through 2-3 content management systems. We advise Law who currently uses the same systems and partner with Athletics. Top services include:

The Web Team acts as the primary support unit for all top-tier campus email solutions. Regular responsibilities include:

  • Campus Messaging ("Broadcasts")

  • Prospective Student Recruitment
  • Event Marketing (All Audiences)
  • Advancement Campaign Support
  • Platform management, integration and self-service training

Social Media

The Web Team acts as Seton Hall’s Chief Social Media Officers, with the following responsibilities:

  • Top tier account management
  • Direct engagement, response and recognition (for prospective students, current students and campus constituents, alumni as well as community/public and government relations)
  • Organic and paid marketing, retargeting and advertising
  • Safety and threat monitoring and reporting
  • Policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Aggregation (web and event based through Sprout Social)
  • Self service tools for campus liaisons and training

Specialized Digital Tools and Services

The Web Team currently manages a series of unique tools to support the University’s mission through digital communications. Highlights include:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google AdWords (paid search, display ads and retargeting)
  • Client relationship management (CRM) (Salesforce, Sprout, Raiser’s Edge, Slate)
  • Forms (Formstack)
  • SMS (ATT Messaging Toolkit)
  • Merit (Student Recognition System)
  • Planned Giving (.org integration)

The Web Team also partners fully with the Department of Information Technology, notably Web Development and Digital Media Services. Key services include:
