Applicant Portal Help
NOTE: The information below pertains to Seton Hall's Applicant Portal available to undergraduate students who have already submitted an application and received an email invitation to create an Applicant Portal account. To begin a new application or resume working on an application that is already in progress, please click here.

Q. What Internet browser should I use?
A. The Applicant Portal is compatible only with the latest versions of the browsers listed below:
- Windows: Internet Explorer
- Macintosh: Safari
Q. What is my username?
A. Your username is your Seton Hall ID#, which was included in the email invitation
you received to create an Applicant Portal account. Your Seton Hall ID# is also listed
at the top right of most emails from the Office of Admissions. If you can't find or
don't know your Seton Hall ID#, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
at 1-800-THE-HALL (843-4255) or [email protected].
Q. I can't remember my password. What should I do?
A. If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link on the
login page, put in your username and follow the prompts to answer your security questions
and reset your password. If you can't find your username or can't answer your security
questions, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 1-800-THE-HALL
(843-4255) or [email protected].
Q. Why doesn't my application checklist show all the documents I have submitted?
A. Please allow 2-4 weeks for materials to be recorded in our system. If you have
questions please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 1-800-THE-HALL
(843-4255) or [email protected].
Q. I just clicked on the link from my invitation again and it brings me to the account
creation page, but I already created my account. Where can I log-in to the Applicant
Portal?
A. The log-in page for the Applicant Portal is here: applicant.shu.edu.
Q. I walked away from my computer and my session in the Applicant Portal timed out.
How long do I have before that happens?
A. For security purposes, your session lasts only 30 minutes. After that time, you
will be asked to log-in again.
Q. When will I know if I'm accepted?
A. You should receive a letter in the mail approximately 4 weeks after we have received
all your application materials. Once you receive this letter, the next time you log-in,
you will see different content in the portal. If you have submitted all your application
materials more than 4 weeks ago, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
