The Center for Diaconal Formation at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology will host a National Diaconate Convocation for permanent deacons, deacon candidates, aspirants, and their wives on Saturday, November 5, 2016. In keeping with the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the theme for the Convocation is The Vocation of the Permanent Deacon: Encountering and Embracing Mercy. We anticipate 200 – 300 to attend. Participants will enjoy a keynote address by Archbishop Bernard Hebda, D.D., J.C.L., J.D., Coadjutor Archbishop, Archdiocese of Newark, and presentations by Deacon James Keating, Director of Theological Formation in the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University and Dianne Traflet, J.D., S.T.D., Associate Dean and Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University.
