First issued in November 2009, Faculty & Administration News (FAN) is a quarterly publication of Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology. The aim of this newsletter is to share with readers the many accomplishments of ICSST's faculty and administrators.

  • As part of its The 4:12 Pathway for Pastoral Leadership: Building an Authentic Culture of Discernment project, funded with support from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., ICSST sponsors and presents Diaconal Leadership in Real Life retreat and Pioneering Leadership evangelization conference.
  • ICSST, under the leadership of Reverend Monsignor Gerard H. McCarren, S.T.D., hosts Federation of Seminary Spiritual Directors annual conference, welcoming 17 spiritual directors from seminaries across the US, along with three presenters.
  • Patrick R. Manning, Ph.D., coordinates SHU’s third annual Contemplative Community Week, co-sponsored by ICSST.
  • Ellen R. Scully, Ph.D., presents on her recently-published co-edited book for SHU’s Scholars’ Forum in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, co-sponsored by ICSST.
  • Patrick R. Manning, Ph.D., and Ellen R. Scully, Ph.D., earn faculty merit awards.
  • Eight publications, including: monograph by Joseph P. Rice, Ph.D.; books by Most Reverend Arthur J. Serratelli, S.T.D., S.S.L., D.D., and David C. Hajduk, Ph.D.; and book translation by Reverend Monsignor C. Anthony Ziccardi, S.S.L., S.T.D.
  • Reverend Frederick L. Miller, S.T.D., recently deceased, remembered by National Catholic Register.
  • More than three dozen pastoral and professional presentations.
  • Dianne M. Traflet, J.D. ’88, S.T.D., delivers numerous presentations on St. Edith Stein and St. Titus Brandsma.
  • Justin M. Anderson, Ph.D., and Reverend Paweł Tomczyk, Ph.D., address the Catholic understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Reverend Mariusz Eugene R. Koch, C.F.R., M.Div., M.A., presides at Eucharistic procession for Feast of Our Lady of Fatima; facilitates sessions at Respect Life Convocation.
  • Gregory Y. Glazov, D.Phil. (Oxon.), presents Spotlight on the Scriptures course for catechists and religion teachers of the Archdiocese of Newark.
