Donations to our registered 501c3 allow us to continue serving residents of South Orange, and all of its SHU population, at no cost to them. This donation is particularly important during a global pandemic that our organization continues to battle directly," said Balog.

Dr. Monica Burnette spoke about the partnerhsip saying, "We are grateful to collaborate with the South Orange Rescue Squad who volunteer to serve members of the Seton Hall and local community. With additional health and safety protocols in place last year, the rescue squad’s assistance was greatly appreciated. We look forward to our continued partnership."

Balog added, "I have been President of the SORS since I graduated from Seton Hall with my B.S.B. and M.B.A. in 2016. It has been very exciting to see the regular pipeline of Seton Hall student volunteers rise through the ranks with us and develop careers in the medical profession."

The squad is volunteer-based, with about 10 active members who are Seton Hall alumni or students. The rescue squad assists during emergencies, working round the clock to keep Seton Hall students, and the community, safe.

The rescue squad is always looking for volunteers. Training is available for volunteers. Anyone who is interested in volunteering can contact the South Orange Rescue Squad at [email protected] or visit their website, https://www.southorangerescuesquad.org/.
