Panhellenic Recruitment Recap

Each year the Panhellenic community welcomes new women into sorority life at Seton Hall through formal recruitment put on by the College Panhellenic Council (CPC). This year looked different than ever before featuring a new fully virtual format spread over a three-day weekend featuring sisterhood and philanthropy. 

CPC is the governing body of seven membership organizations on our campus and a part of a larger National Panhellenic Council (NPC). The Panhellenic Council was created to offer guidance and uniform rules to its member organizations during a time when Greek life was beginning to grow rapidly. We use the word conference to describe the organization as it doesn’t enact any legislation itself but instead facilitates unanimous agreements between all members. During their journey the potential new members (PNMS) visited and talked to the different organizations and found where they connected the most. From there it is a mutual selection process with both the potential new members and the chapters deciding on who is right for them. We always encourage all women to enter recruitment weekend with an open mind and give all organizations a fair chance.  

At the end of the weekend 123 women found their new homes and was able to celebrate with virtual bid day events. The excitement of Formal Recruitment 2021 continues after the weekend with a continuous open recruitment where organizations were able to invite even more women to join their sisterhoods. As a Greek Community we were thrilled to be able to open more opportunities to any eligible woman at Seton Hall.
