Student Leadership Awards Nomination Form

The Department of Student Services has extended the Leadership Award Nominations deadline to Friday, April 8th, 2022.
Please use the form below to submit a nomination for any of the following awards: 


Organization Awards

Organization of the Year

The SGA Organization of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding student club or organization on campus. The Organization of the Year should have a strong membership that has supported a wide range of programs and initiatives throughout the year. The actions of the Organization of the Year should reflect the University's vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society.

Outstanding New Student Organization

The Outstanding New Student Organization Award recognizes a club or organization on campus that is less than two years old. The recipient of this award should have strong membership and a wide range of programs and initiatives throughout the academic year. The actions of the New Student Organization of the Year should reflect the University's vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society.

Philanthropy & Service

The Philanthropy & Service Award recognizes a club or organization that is dedicated to philanthropic efforts. The recipient should have contributed time, support, or money to a local or international organization. The recipient of this award should demonstrate commitment to the betterment of the community through outreach, programming, education, or volunteerism.

Outstanding Program Award

The Outstanding Program Award recognizes an event from a SGA recognized club organization on campus. The Outstanding Program Award should highlight one program or series that reflect the University’s vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society.


Individual Awards

The Advisor of the Year 

This award is presented to an individual who has provided consistent service and guidance to the students in his/her organization while serving as a role model. The actions of the Advisor of the Year should reflect the University's vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society.

The Mother Seton Award for Presidential Leadership 

This award is presented each year by the University to the student organization President who has given outstanding service to his/her peers and the campus community. The recipient of this award will have worked to strengthen communications and working relationships between his/her student organization, SGA, and the University.

The University Award for Distinguished Leadership

This award goes to a student who offers outstanding student leadership and service to peers and the Seton Hall community, has made significant contributions to student organizations and student life on campus, exemplifies the highest ethical and moral standards, is seen as a role model by peers, and maintains a GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

The Outstanding Leadership in Promoting Diversity Award

The Outstanding Leadership in Promoting Diversity Award recognizes a student or organization that promotes diversity through programming, educational initiatives, or advocacy.

One nomination per submission (unlimited submissions). Awards will be presented on May 2nd, 2022 at the Annual Student Leadership Awards.
