What Our Master of Social Work Students Are Saying

Through their coursework, and through a number of opportunities to see their classroom lessons in action, such as participating in Social Work Day at the United Nations, our students finish the Master of Social Work program ready to make a difference. They are prepared to work with individuals, families or groups in a variety of advanced-practice settings — including behavioral health, substance abuse and healthcare.

A few of these dedicated, ambitious students share their thoughts about what their Seton Hall education has meant to them both personally and professionally.

Treenette Richardson

"Enrolling in the MSW program at Seton Hall was the best thing I could have done for my career. Given the climate of today's society, the program was thorough and provided me with the foundation needed to be successful in the field as a competent social worker, empowering others and raising awareness of the importance of mental health."
- Treenette Richardson

"Seton Hall's Master of Social Work program was an eye opener throughout the entire two years. I was taught core values and concepts regarding how to relate to people in need and advocate on their behalf, and I was made aware of individual cultural values from all walks of life and how to embrace each other in the field of social work. After I graduated, I was able to incorporate all that I learned into helping the families I work with."
