Generative AI and Higher Education

The Office of the Provost, together with the Center for Faculty Development and Teaching, Learning and Technology Center, is proud to offer another installment of its Impact Talks Speaker series featuring Jason Gulya, Ph.D., professor at Berkeley College and the chair of the Artificial Intelligence Council, who will discuss the rapid advancement of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on higher education.

Following Gulya’s presentation, a panel of Seton Hall students and faculty will share their experiences and perspectives on generative AI, how it has impacted their interactions in the classroom, potential applications and disruptions, and preparing for an AI-infused future. The panel will include:

  • Ruchin Kansal, M.B.A.,Faculty, Department of Management, Director, Center for Leadership Development, Stillman School of Business
  • Ruth Segal, Ph.D., OTR, Professor and Chair, Department of Occupational Therapy, School of Health and Medical Sciences
  • Jess Rauchberg, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Communication Technologies, College of Human Development, Culture, and Media
  • Madeline L. Field, Seton Hall University senior (Double major in Diplomacy and Economics, minor in Arabic)
  • Steven Hart, Senior Creative and Media Technology Professional, Adobe
