Michael Stone has taught a variety of Asian Studies courses including:
- Geography of Asia
- Contemporary East Asia
- China in World Affairs
- Contemporary China
- History of Modern East Asia
- History of Traditional China
- Writing for the Media
- Academic Writing for international graduate students
He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, China (2018 to present).
Professor Stone served as the Director of Seton Hall’s Global Learning Center from 2015 to 2022.

Publications:
Professor Stone is author of two books including Exploring the Heartland of Chinese History [to be published in 2022]. His articles have appeared in Americana, The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix, American Craft, The College Review, American Ceramics, Kung Fu magazine, The Manager, Family Medicine, Journal of the MGMA, MGMA’s Update, Courier-Post, Shaanxi Daily (Chinese), The New York Times, among others.
Accomplishments
Accomplishments:
Professor Stone currently serves on the Board of the Asian Studies Association, Mid-Atlantic Region. He is the former President of the NJ Medical Group Management Association and was CEO of a medical corporation.
He also organized a student summer study abroad program to Xi’an, China.
