Rev. Roberto Ortiz is from Jersey City, NJ. Archbishop John Joseph
Myers ordained him a priest for service in the Archdiocese of Newark on
May 23, 2009. Father Ortiz earned a B.A. in Catholic Studies from Seton
Hall University in 2005. He earned his Licentiate in Sacred Theology
from the Gregorian University in 2010, specializing in Dogmatic
(Systematic) Theology. His first parish assignment was as a parochial
vicar at St. Elizabeth Parish in Wyckoff from 2010 to 2012. In
September 2012, he was appointed to the formation faculty at Immaculate
Conception Seminary School of Theology as a mentor.
He also teaches
as an adjunct professor of Systematic Theology
at ICSST. In Spring 2013, Father Ortiz was appointed Director, Seminary Records and in Summer 2014, he was appointed Director of Liturgy.
