Adjunct Professor of Healthcare Administration
Department of Political Science and Public Affairs

I have served as adjunct faculty at Seton Hall University since 2006. My professional areas of interest include infectious disease epidemiology, maternal and child health, and public health program development and evaluation. I am interested in bridging the gap between academic public health preparation and field-based local public health activities. A strong partnership between academic technical expertise and field-based experience is a marriage of two sciences… with each discipline learning from the other and each being better-prepared because of that partnership.

I currently serve as the Assistant Public Health Coordinator for the Monmouth County Health Department in Freehold, NJ.  As Assistant Public Health Coordinator, I oversee the operations of the two divisions of public health nursing and consumer health, including nearly 30 staff members. My responsibilities include maintaining quality services and programming for the Monmouth County Health Department constituency, strategic planning, program development, grant-writing, budget management, and marketing of the public health agency. I am responsible for staff trainings and public presentations, as well as serving as liaison with county freeholders and state-level agencies.
