Her current programs of research are centered on factors that contribute to disparities in mental health and medical care among underrepresented populations. Secondly, her research focuses on exploring factors that contribute to burnout and turnover among Black faculty in academic settings. Dr. Jean Baptiste is currently a per-diem psychologist at NYU Langone Medical Center. Her clinical practice focuses on working with adults across the lifespan who are faced with depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, and chronic medical illness. and culturally-informed.
