September 5, 2019: Formation of the Investiture Committee
Patrick M. Murray, Chair, Board of Regents, Office of Board Affairs

Dear Members of the Seton Hall Community,

I am pleased to announce the formation of a committee that will plan the investiture of our 21st president, Joseph E. Nyre, Ph.D.

Two respected members of the Setonian community have graciously agreed to lead this committee as co-chairs. They are:

  • Paul Fisher, Associate Chief Information Officer and Director of the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center;
  • and Father Nicholas S. Gengaro, S.T.L., S.T.B., Chaplain of the Seton Hall School of Law

Paul and Father Gengaro will supplement the committee with students, faculty, administrators and staff members from our three campuses. They will plan a slate of events that reflect the transformational power of a Seton Hall education and convey our great excitement at welcoming President Nyre and his family to the University.

Paul and Father Gengaro will be assisted by two Regents who will serve as honorary co-chairs. They are:

  • Robert J. Sloan, AT&T FirstNet Chief Operating Officer;
  • and Matthew W. Wright, Founder and President, Disciplina Group, LLC

My thanks go to Paul, Father Gengaro and my fellow Regents for leading our investiture preparations. I am confident they will cast the proceedings as a celebration of Seton Hall’s faith-filled past, dynamic present and limitless future.

Patrick M. Murray
Chair, Board of Regents
