All students can attend any two-day orientation from the dates below. If you are unable to make your scheduled date due to a conflict, please e-mail engagement@shu.edu. Students can access the New Student Orientation chicklet in PirateNet to RSVP for Orientation.

Things To Do Before Orientation
- Placement Testing: When you log in to PirateNet to confirm your attendance, you will see the tests you will be required to take. Each test has a link to the online testing. Placement Testing must be completed by June 1 in order to register during orientation. For general questions, please email placement-testing@shu.edu.
- ID Photo Upload: Campus ID is utilizing online photo submission for ID. Students have received the email invite from myphoto@shu.edu. Please follow the instructions in the email to upload their ID photo. ID cards for successfully uploaded photos will be distributed at New Student Orientation.
- Visit the New Student Checklist for a list of things you can do to prepare over the Summer.
What to Expect at Orientation
- Opportunity to hear directly from Administrators and Faculty in your program
- Register for fall classes with the help of an Academic Success Advisor
- Meet with Orientation Leaders, upperclassmen students, who will be with you step by step your first year
- Chance to connect with fellow classmates and university department
- Have FUN!
The morning of orientation you can begin checking into the residence halls at 8:30 a.m. outside of The Complex to drop your things and get settled before joining us in Bethany Hall at 10a.m. for the official Welcome.

Summer Virtual Resource Workshops
Seton Hall University's is excited to offer a series of virtual resource workshops this summer. These workshops will get you acclimated to life at Seton Hall and introduce you to key departments, procedures and resources that we have to offer.
