On Saturday, September 28, ten professors of moral theology from six institutions of higher learning, from Boston to the Washington D.C. area, will be gathering at Seton Hall University. The purpose of this day-long colloquium is present and reflect upon their particular pedagogies for evoking not only a cognitive, but also a free and affective appropriation of Catholic Moral Theology by those preparing for ministry in the Church.
To conduct this colloquium, The Wabash Center for Teaching and
Learning in Theology and Religion has awarded two professors of
Immaculate Conception Seminary/School of Theology, Dr. Justin M.
Anderson and Rev. W. Jerome Bracken, C.P., a grant entitled. "Toward a
Wisdom of the Heart: A Pilot Program to Effect Cognitive and Affective
Appropriation of Ethical and Moral Teaching in a Theological Seminary."
