University ranked first in nation for ‘Holiday Events’
Noting that “there is no shortage of Christmas events at Seton Hall
University” and that “festivities abound and students will ring in the
Christmas cheer,” Best College Reviews recognized Seton Hall as the best
college in America for “Holiday Events.”
Seton Hall topped the list of the 45 best schools chosen for the accolade, with the ranking based on the following criteria:
- Number and variety of events – 40%
- Number of days events are offered – 20%
- Uniqueness of events – 20%
- Community involvement – 20%
“In this holy season we join in a spirit of joy and generosity to celebrate our faith in the Christmas traditions at Seton Hall. These events bring us together as a community and help us to offer to others a portion of the gifts that we have received as members of the Seton Hall family,” said Father Robert McLaughlin, Director of Campus Ministry. “We are honored by this recognition of the Seton Hall community and the beauty of Christmas at the Hall.”
In addition to citing the spirit of giving and kindness that
permeates Christmas at the Hall, Best College Reviews, a ranking service
for American colleges and universities, recounts some of Seton Hall’s
holiday schedule:
“The season kicks off with a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday,
December 1. Throughout the weeks following, there is carol-singing,
Crèche blessing, a pancake breakfast with Santa, Jazz Band Christmas
Performance, Winter Ball, Lessons and Carols, University Christmas
Party, and Young Alumni Christmas Party. Festivities abound and students
will ring in the Christmas cheer during the two weeks leading up to
Christmas Break.”
